Any girl wanting to try out for Volleyball.

Before athletes can participate in practice or tryouts, they must have medical clearance. Emergency contact cards, Athletic fees, material fees, and sportsmanship contracts must be turned in two days before the first contest for athletes to participate in the competition.

NVCS GUIDELINES FOR TEAM TRYOUTS

A maximum of Twelve (12) team members per grade level (6th-grade team, 7th-grade team, and 8th-grade team) will be selected based on the coaches’ evaluation of a student athlete’s skill level, academic status, and attitude/coachability. Students/Athletes may only compete at their grade level. The track team, Cross Country, and Soccer teams will allow more team members, and the grade levels will be intermixed due to the nature of the sport.
Candidacy for team members will be based on a minimum of a three-day try-out evaluation by the coaching staff.
Athletes will be informed of what is expected of them in terms of skills, grades, and attitude in a pre-season meeting, set by the coach.
Athletes will be notified if they make the team after tryouts by individual communication through discussion by the coach.
Athletes and families are expected to understand that the expenses incurred for shoes, physical examinations, or other such necessities, do not guarantee team membership.
Parents and family members of athletes are not allowed to participate in any aspect of pre-season tryouts.
