Parent Information Night
Join us for a Parent Information Night to learn about New Vision’s history, vision, curriculum, parent involvement, and more. Each session will be held at 299 Peridot Ave.
Parent Information Night Dates
All sessions run from 5:30 – 6:30 PM
- October 20, 2026 – Kindergarten Only
- November 17, 2026 – Grades K-8
- January 19, 2027 – Grades K-8
- February 18, 2027 – Grades K-8
K-8 Lottery Information
To be included in the lottery drawing and placed on the waitlist, families must:
- Attend a Parent Information Night
- Complete an Intent to Enroll application

- November 3, 2026 – Kindergarten Only
- December 1, 2026 – Grades K-8
- January 26, 2027 – Grades K-8
- February 23, 2027 –Grades K-8

Lottery Drawings
- To be included in the lottery drawing and placed on the waitlist, families must:
- Attend a Parent Information Night
- Complete the Intent to Enroll application
- Each student may only be entered in one lottery per grade level
Waitlist and Openings
- Waitlist Priority Order
- NVCS Employee – children of NVCS full-time staff
- Sibling – siblings of currently enrolled students
- General Lottery – in district
- General Lottery out of district
- When a spot becomes available, families will be notified by email and will have 48 hours to confirm

Order of Placement
Openings are filled in the following order:- NVCS Employee List – Children of full-time NVCS staff
- Sibling Preference List – Siblings of currently enrolled students
- General Lottery – Students residing within Thompson School District boundaries
- General Lottery – Students residing in another Colorado school district
Sibling Preference
Siblings are placed on a separate priority list for each grade. If a seat becomes available, the sibling list will be used before the general waitlist. The general waitlist is only used when no students are eligible in the NVCS Employee or Sibling Preference categories.Lottery Rules
- Each student may only be entered in one grade level per lottery.
- If a student is offered a position and the family declines or does not respond, their lottery position is forfeited and a new Intent to Enroll application must be submitted.
- When a position becomes available, parents will be notified via email and must accept in writing within 48 hours.
Enrollment Completion
- Admission is conditional pending the completion of the remaining phases of the enrollment process.
Waitlist Expiration
- Waitlists do not carry over from year to year and expire on the last school day in October.
- Exceptions: Sibling and NVCS Employee waitlists. Children of staff members may retain preference as long as the staff member is employed at NVCS.
