Enrollment

Inquiries

Inquires related to enrollment for the 2022-2023 academic year should be emailed to the Registrar at msvendsen@nvcs.school.

Enrollment Explanation

New Vision Charter School (NVCS) has a high demand for enrollment, with more students desiring to attend than New Vision can accommodate due to space and class size limitations.  As a result, potential candidates for enrollment are processed in a random lottery where each candidate has an equal chance of being selected.

How do I enroll my child?

  1. Attend one of the Parent Information Nights offered on October 19th, November 16th, January 13th and February 24th. The meetings are held at New Vision Charter School at 299 Peridot Avenue from 5:30pm-6:30pm.  The parent meetings are for new families with children who are not currently enrolled at NVCS.

  2. Complete the NVCS 2022-23 Intent to Enroll form. This will add your child's name to the lottery.

  3. Lottery! The lottery dates are December 2nd for Kindergarten only and January 19th for Grades K-8. The lottery results create the waitlist.

  4. When an opening becomes available, parents will receive an email and will have 48 hours to respond.

  5. If the offer is accepted, the parent will receive further instructions to complete the enrollment process.

Parents may email msvendsen@nvcs.school and check the status of their child's name on the waitlist.

If you are enrolling more than one child and one gets an offer and the parent accepts, the other sibling will be given sibling preference and may move up on the waitlist.

I already have a child enrolled at NVCS. How do I enroll my other child that will be new to NVCS?

  1. Complete the NVCS 2022-23 Intent to Enroll form. This will add your child's name to the sibling preference waitlist.

  2. When an opening becomes available, parents will receive an email and will have 48 hours to respond.

  3. If the offer is accepted, the parent will receive further instructions to complete the enrollment process.

Enrollment candidates exempt from the lottery (per policy) include children of founding members, siblings of currently enrolled students, and children of NVCS employees.
