After reviewing multiple weather apps and evaluating the condition of our field, we will be moving our NVCS K-3 Field Day inside. We will be doing activities all throughout the building and cannot accommodate spectators. If you volunteered, please plan on attending during your volunteer time. On April 27th, our second graders took a trip back in time and celebrated Pioneer Day by traveling the infamous Oregon Trail! 🗺️🤠
These young explorers faced challenges like broken wagon wheels, wild weather, disease, and even encountered Native Americans on their journey. Additionally, our students had a blast making butter and playing the same games that pioneer children would have enjoyed. We are so proud of our students for embracing history and using their imagination to bring it to life!

For just $5 admission, students can join in on the fun and show some support for the Harrington Arts Alliance! Don't forget to bring a little extra cash for concessions to help support the New Vision Characters Drama Club. Students can dance the night away with friends, or get their game on with some beach games and volleyball in the gym. We are excited to celebrate the end of the school year and can't wait to see you all there!
The 6th grade Creative Problem Solving class recently had an amazing opportunity to escape school for a couple of hours and visit the Time Emporium Escape Room. 🥳🕵️
During this adventure, students had the chance to play in the rooms, discover what happens behind the scenes, and ask the owner, Jeff, some burning questions about how the rooms are created, where the ideas come from, and some secrets of the trade. With all this new knowledge and inspiration, our students are excited to put their creative problem-solving skills to the test and create their own escape room right here at school!
We couldn't have done it without our amazing community partner, Time Emporium, who generously provided this experience at no cost to the school or students. Let's give a huge shoutout to Time Emporium for reminding us of the value in building community partnerships!

This day is all about celebrating the fun and freedom that comes with active transportation while fostering a sense of community and school spirit.
